Client challenge: Household energy consumption was resulting in a 12% annual price increase for utility usage.

Synapse solution and results: After examining the homeowner's electrical and gas consumption, we proposed a plan that took advantage of California State incentives and federal tax credits. An instant hot water heater was installed along with a photovoltaic solar system sized to eliminate the homeowner's electric bill. Synapse handled the entire permit and inspection process and managed the California State rebate paperwork and processing. With this solution, not only did the homeowner reduce gas consumption by 30%, they also received an eight-year payback on a solar system with an estimated 40-year lifespan.
